When Morning Sickness Hits Hard
If you are reading this, you probably already know how rough morning sickness can be. The constant nausea. The fact that nothing stays down. The exhaustion that comes from not eating, not drinking, and not sleeping well. The feeling that no one warned you it would be like this.
And if you live in Phoenix, the heat makes it worse. Dehydration on top of nausea creates a cycle that is hard to break on your own. You try to drink water and feel sick. You try to nibble crackers and feel sicker. By the afternoon, you can barely function.
That is where IV therapy can help. A bag of fluid plus pregnancy-safe vitamins and gentle nausea support goes straight into your bloodstream. No drinking. No eating. No working through your stomach. Many of our pregnancy clients say it is the first time they have felt human all trimester.
Important: every Morning Sickness IV requires approval from your OB or primary care provider before we can book you. This keeps you and your baby safe. We work directly with your provider when needed and walk you through every step.

Inside the Morning Sickness IV
Our Morning Sickness IV is intentionally simple. It is built around fluids, gentle nausea support, and pregnancy-friendly vitamins. Every ingredient is reviewed by our Medical Director and used only with OB or primary care provider approval.
Sterile Saline & Electrolytes
A liter of medical-grade fluid plus the basic electrolytes your body needs. The most important part of any morning sickness drip. Dehydration drives many of the worst symptoms, and even small amounts of fluid can break the cycle.
Vitamin B6
A vitamin commonly recommended by OBs for nausea relief during pregnancy. Vitamin B6 has a long history of safe use during pregnancy and is one of the most-supported tools for managing morning sickness symptoms. The IV delivery makes it easier on a stomach that cannot keep
pills down.
Vitamin B12
Helps support energy and reduce the deep fatigue that comes with morning sickness. Pregnancy-safe and well-tolerated.
Anti-Nausea Support (When Approved)
In some cases, with OB approval, we can add a generic, FDA-approved anti-nausea medication that is commonly used during pregnancy. The decision is always made between you and your provider.
Optional Boosters (With OB Approval Only)
- Folic acid for general prenatal support
- Vitamin C for immune support
Note: Many add-ons available on our other drips are not appropriate during pregnancy. Your nurse and our Medical Director only offer pregnancy-safe options.
Is the Morning Sickness IV Right For You?
The Morning Sickness IV is intended for clients in their first or second trimester who are dealing with persistent nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. Below are the most common situations where it can help. Always talk with your OB first.
You Cannot Keep Liquids Down
If water tastes terrible, electrolyte drinks make you sicker, and even ice chips are a struggle, your body is running deeper into dehydration every hour. The IV gets fluid in without going through your stomach.
You're Losing Weight
Some weight loss in early pregnancy is normal. Significant weight loss is not. If your OB has flagged this, IV hydration and B vitamins can help support you while you and your provider work on a longer-term plan.
You're Exhausted From Vomiting
Constant vomiting is exhausting. Combine it with the early-pregnancy fatigue most people already deal with, and you can feel completely flattened. The drip helps your body get back up.
You're Dealing With Hyperemesis Gravidarum
HG is a more serious form of morning sickness that often requires medical care. We can support clients with HG only with active OB management and approval — the IV is part of a broader care plan, not a substitute for one.
You Need Symptom Relief Before Travel or a Big Day
Pregnant clients sometimes book a Morning Sickness IV the day before a flight, a wedding, or another big event with their OB's approval. The hydration and vitamin support can make the day more manageable.

Why an IV Helps When Pills and Crackers Cannot
Morning sickness creates a vicious cycle. You feel nauseous. You cannot eat or drink. Your body becomes dehydrated and depleted. The dehydration makes the nausea worse. And around it goes.
The challenge with pills and powders is that they have to go through your stomach to work. If you cannot keep anything down, you cannot benefit from them. An IV bypasses your stomach entirely. The fluid, vitamins, and any approved nausea support go straight into your bloodstream where your body uses them right away. No swallowing. No keeping it down. No risk of throwing it back up.
Most clients feel a real shift within 30 to 60 minutes. The headache softens. The body comes back online. The next day, many clients can finally eat a normal meal.
Why Pregnancy IVs Require OB Approval
Pregnancy changes how your body responds to fluids, vitamins, and any added medication. Some ingredients that are safe outside of pregnancy may not be ideal during it. We require OB or primary care provider approval before any pregnancy IV so we can be certain every ingredient and every dose is safe for you and your baby. The approval process is straightforward and we walk you through it.
Your Morning Sickness Visit, Start to Finish
Step 1
Request Your Appointment
Reach out by phone or our online form. We will gather basic info, ask about your provider, and explain the OB approval process. You do not need to do this alone — many of our clients have us coordinate directly with their OB office.
Step 2
OB or Primary Care Provider Approval
Your provider needs to review and approve the IV before we book. This is an Arizona standard for pregnancy IV therapy and a safety standard we hold ourselves to regardless. Most approvals take 24 to 48 hours.
Step 3
A Quick Good Faith Exam
In addition to OB approval, all IV therapy clients complete a Good Faith Exam with our Medical Director or a contracted provider. For pregnancy clients, this is a careful conversation about your health, your provider's recommendations, and what is right for you.
Step 4
Your Nurse Arrives
A registered nurse comes to your home with everything ready. We always send experienced nurses to pregnancy appointments. They are trained, calm, and gentle. You will not need to set up anything beforehand. Just a comfortable spot.
Step 5
Setup and Insertion
Your nurse will check your vital signs, talk through how you are feeling, and find a good spot for the IV. Insertion takes about 30 seconds.
Step 6
The Drip
The Morning Sickness IV runs about 45 to 60 minutes. Most clients feel a settling shift within 20 to 30 minutes. Many fall asleep during the drip — your nurse stays the entire time and lets you rest.
Step 7
After
Most clients feel much better right away. The hydration alone often makes a noticeable difference. Many can keep food down that evening and wake up the next morning feeling more like themselves.
Approved Add-Ons For Pregnancy
Most of the boosters and add-ons we offer for non-pregnancy clients are not appropriate during pregnancy. Below are the only options approved for pregnancy clients, and only with OB approval.
Folic Acid
A pregnancy-safe vitamin that supports healthy cell division and is widely recommended throughout pregnancy. A natural pairing with the Morning Sickness IV.
Vitamin C (Standard Dose)
Standard-dose vitamin C is generally considered safe during pregnancy and supports immune function. High-dose vitamin C is NOT offered during pregnancy.
Morning Sickness IV Questions, Answered
Is IV therapy safe during pregnancy?
With OB or primary care provider approval and the right ingredients, yes. Many OBs recommend IV therapy for clients with significant morning sickness, dehydration, or hyperemesis gravidarum. The key is approval from your provider before any treatment.
How do I get OB approval?
There are two paths. You can ask your OB at your next appointment to send us approval. Or you can reach out to us first, and we will coordinate directly with your OB office. Most approvals take 24 to 48 hours. We do not start treatment without it.
Will the Morning Sickness IV stop my nausea completely?
Many clients report a major improvement — but the drip is supportive care, not a cure for morning sickness. Some clients may still have nausea after the IV, especially if they have hyperemesis gravidarum. The goal is to break the dehydration cycle and give your body a real reset. Most clients feel much better afterward.
How fast will I feel relief?
Most clients feel a settling shift within 20 to 30 minutes. By the end of the drip, the hydration is doing real work. Many clients feel noticeably better that evening and into the next day. Some clients feel relief that lasts several days.
How often can I get a Morning Sickness IV?
It depends on your symptoms and your OB's recommendations. Some clients do one drip and feel reset for a week or more. Others with HG do weekly drips during their hardest trimester with OB oversight. Always work with your provider on frequency.
Can I get this in my first trimester?
Yes, with OB approval. Many clients book Morning Sickness IVs starting in their first trimester. The first trimester is when morning sickness is usually worst, so it is also when the IV is most- requested.
Will the nurse know what they are doing with a pregnant client?
Yes. We send experienced nurses to pregnancy appointments. Many of our team have clinical backgrounds in OB, ER, or primary care. They know exactly how to handle pregnancy-related care.
Can I do this at home?
Yes. Most clients book the drip at home where they can rest fully. Many fall asleep during the session, which is fine — your nurse stays the entire time.
Is it covered by insurance?
Pregnancy IV therapy is sometimes covered by insurance when it is medically necessary, particularly for hyperemesis gravidarum. Coverage varies by plan. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide documentation you can submit for reimbursement. We accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA in most cases.
What if I have hyperemesis gravidarum?
HG is a more serious condition that often needs hospital-level care. We can support HG clients only with active OB management and approval, as part of a broader care plan. If you are dealing with severe vomiting, weight loss, or signs of dehydration, please contact your OB right away. The drip can be part of your care, but it is not a substitute for ongoing medical management.
Other Drips That May Be Approved With Your OB
Hydration IV
Pure fluids and electrolytes. The simplest pregnancy-safe option for clients who just need hydration without added vitamins. OB approval still required.
Hangover IV
Some pregnancy clients have asked about this drip, but please note: the Hangover IV is NOT recommended during pregnancy due to its medication add-ons. We list it only so you can compare and avoid confusion.
Real Relief, Right at Home
Reach out today and we will walk you through the OB approval process. A registered nurse can be at your door within 24 to 48 hours of approval.
