Hormone therapy · for men

Testosterone

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men with low testosterone, prescribed after a blood test and a consult.

Low testosterone can leave you tired, foggy and flat, with less drive and less strength than you used to have. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) brings your level back into the normal range. It is a prescription treatment: it starts with a blood test and a consult, and a provider decides with you whether it is right for you.

Priced after your consult. Your plan depends on your labs and your dose, and you get the price before you start.

What is testosterone therapy?

Testosterone is the main male hormone. It helps drive energy, sex drive, muscle and mood. Levels drop slowly with age, and faster for some men.

Testosterone replacement therapy gives your body the testosterone it is not making, so your level sits in the normal range again. Your provider sets the dose from your labs and adjusts it from your follow-up labs.

Signs your testosterone may be low

  • Tired all the time, even after a full night’s sleep
  • Lower sex drive, or trouble with erections
  • Brain fog and trouble focusing
  • Losing muscle or strength
  • More fat around your middle
  • Low mood, or a shorter fuse

How it works

How a protocol works

  1. A blood testWe check your testosterone and the other levels that matter before anything is prescribed.
  2. A consultA provider goes over your results, your symptoms and your health history with you, and tells you plainly whether TRT fits.
  3. Your planIf it does, you get a prescription and a plan, with the dose your provider sets for you.
  4. Follow-up labsWe recheck your levels on a schedule and adjust your dose so it stays in range.

Safety first

Is testosterone therapy safe?

TRT is a prescription medicine, and it is not right for everyone. That is why it starts with labs and a consult, and why we keep checking your labs.

  • It can lower your sperm count. If you are planning a family, tell us before you start.
  • It can raise your red blood cell count, which your follow-up labs watch for.
  • It is not for men with prostate or breast cancer.
  • Tell us about every medicine you take, and about any heart problems, sleep apnea or blood clots.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Still wondering? Text us or call (480) 674-8268.

Do I need lab work first?

Yes. TRT starts with a blood test, and a provider goes over it with you before anything is prescribed.

How much does it cost?

Your plan depends on your labs and your dose, so we give you the price at your consult, before you start.

How soon will I feel a difference?

It varies from man to man. Your provider tells you what to expect for your plan, and your follow-up labs show how your level is responding.

Will I need it forever?

TRT works while you take it. If you stop, your level usually falls back to where it was. Your provider talks through the long term with you before you start.

I want to have kids. Can I still do TRT?

Tell us first. Testosterone can lower your sperm count, so your provider will talk through your options with you.

Is this the same as a peptide?

No. Testosterone is a hormone your body already makes; TRT replaces what it is not making. Peptides are a separate kind of therapy.
