Sterile fluids and electrolytes
Puts back the water you lost. This alone eases many headaches.
For migraines and bad headaches
Lights off. Nurse in. Relief in about an hour.
Medically cleared by Mellisa Kerchief, NP, our Medical Director
A registered nurse comes to your dark, quiet room. You get a full liter of fluids, magnesium, and B vitamins. Plus medicine for the pain and the nausea. It is our version of the “migraine cocktail” that hospitals use. Without the bright lights and the wait.
The Migraine IV is a one liter drip for bad headaches. It has fluids, electrolytes, magnesium, and B complex. It also has anti inflammatory pain medicine and anti nausea medicine. An antihistamine can be added on request. It goes straight into your blood, so you do not have to keep pills down. It takes about 45 to 60 minutes. It costs $265 mobile or $235 at the studio.
What’s in the bag
Doses are set by our nurse practitioner. Your nurse can leave out any item you do not want.
Puts back the water you lost. This alone eases many headaches.
Helps blood vessels and muscles relax. Some people who get migraines run low on it.
Supports your nerves and your energy. Helps the drained feeling after a migraine.
Takes the edge off the pain. Works in minutes, with no pills to keep down.
Settles the sick feeling that comes with a migraine.
Helps you relax and sleep it off. Can make you drowsy.
In the ER, a migraine cocktail is IV fluids plus a few medicines. Usually an anti nausea medicine, an anti inflammatory, and often an antihistamine or magnesium. It has been used for years. Our Migraine IV is built on the same idea. The difference is where you get it. You get ours in your own bed.
Pick any two and this is your drip.
The big one. Throbbing pain, often on one side. Light hurts. Sound hurts. Your stomach turns. It can last hours or days. This bag hits all three parts: the pain, the nausea, and the dry feeling.
A tight band around your head. Sore neck and shoulders. The magnesium and the pain medicine in this bag help the muscles let go.
A dull ache that gets worse when you stand. Often after a hike, a round of golf, or a pool day. The fluids alone help most of these. If it is your only symptom, the Hydrate IV may be enough.
Headache, nausea, and no energy after a big night. That is a different bag. See the Hangover IV. It has the same pain and nausea medicine, plus extra vitamins for the morning after.
Many women get a headache right before or during their period. Some get full migraines. Cramps, bloating, and low energy come with it. This bag helps with all of it. The fluids help the bloat. The magnesium helps the cramps and the tight muscles. The pain medicine helps the cramps and the headache. The anti nausea medicine settles your stomach. Book it the day your period starts.
Most people feel the anti nausea medicine first, in about 15 minutes. Then the pain medicine takes the edge off, often within 30 minutes. The fluids and magnesium do their work over the hour. By the end of the bag, most people feel a lot better.
Here is why it beats pills. Pills have to go through your stomach. With a migraine, your stomach slows down. Pills sit there. Or they come back up. An IV puts the medicine right into your blood. It works in minutes, not an hour.
One honest note. Not every migraine goes away in an hour. Some are stubborn. But most people leave the bag with less pain and no nausea.

Most headaches are safe to handle at home. A few are not. Go to the ER or call 911 right away for any of these.
These can be signs of a stroke, bleeding, or an infection. Minutes matter. Do not wait for us.
Safety first
Yes, when a nurse gives it and a provider signs off. That is how we do it every time.
Who should skip it or ask first: people with heart, kidney, or liver disease. People with stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, or on blood thinners. We may leave out the pain medicine. Anyone who is pregnant should call their OB first.
The antihistamine makes you drowsy. If you add it, do not drive after. Plan to sleep.
This is a wellness service. We do not treat strokes, head injuries, or infections. For the warning signs above, call 911.

Most people feel a lot better by the end of the bag. The nausea goes first, then the pain eases. Some stubborn migraines take longer. It does not stop future migraines.

Yes. Many women book it for period headaches, cramps, and bloating. The magnesium and the pain medicine help the cramps. The fluids help the bloat.

Tell our nurse practitioner what you take and when you took it last. Some medicines do not mix. They will tell you what is safe.
Ask our nurse practitioner. The pain medicine is not meant for daily use. Get migraines often? See a doctor about a long term plan.
Yes, if it is the worst headache of your life. Same for a fever with a stiff neck, weakness, slurred speech, or a head injury. Those need the ER, not us.

No. You need a short video call with a nurse practitioner before your first IV. It takes about five minutes. It is good for one year.
