Race weekend recovery. Registered nurses. Delivered to your room in Tempe, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.

Medically cleared by Mellisa Kerchief, NP, our Medical Director

Rock ’n’ Roll Arizona is January 16 and 17, 2027. Half marathon, 10K, 5K, and KiDS ROCK. The courses run through Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe. Every race ends at Tempe Beach Park. You will run hard, sweat in dry air, and feel it on the stairs Monday. We bring the recovery IV to you. Same day. No travel fee in most of the Valley.

What is Rock ’n’ Roll Arizona IV therapy?

It is a one liter IV drip given by a registered nurse. They come to your hotel, rental, or home after the race. The most booked bags are the Athletic Performance IV ($285) and the Hydrate IV ($150). Both put back the fluids and salt you lost on the course. Each drip takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Book it the day before or the day after your race. Never within 2 hours of the start.

Built for race weekend

Race weekend is three days. Friday is for bib pickup and a big pasta dinner. Saturday and Sunday are race mornings. Then there is the finish line party at Tempe Beach Park. Then there are the stairs on Monday.

Your body gives a lot on the course. You sweat out water and salt for an hour or two. Your muscles get small tears that leave you sore. The dry Arizona air makes all of it worse. Most runners under drink before and after.

A nurse comes to your hotel room, your rental, or your house after you finish. You get a full liter of fluids, electrolytes, amino acids, and vitamins. You feel better in about an hour. Monday hurts a lot less.

What a half marathon does to your body

13.1 miles in dry desert air

January in Phoenix is cool and sunny. That feels perfect for a run. But the air is very dry. You lose water with every breath and every mile. Most runners finish behind on fluids and do not know it.

Cramps

Cramps come from lost salt, lost fluids, and tired muscles. Sodium, potassium, and magnesium all matter. A sports drink helps a little. An IV puts them back fast.

Sore legs the next day

Running breaks down muscle. That is normal. It is also why stairs hurt on Monday. Amino acids and anti inflammatory support help your legs bounce back.

The finish line beer garden

You cross the line. Someone hands you a beer. You are dry and your stomach is empty. That one beer hits like three. The hangover shows up fast.

Flying in from out of state

Many runners fly in for the weekend. The cabin air dries you out. The time change hurts your sleep. You start the race already behind. The Jet Lag IV fixes that the day you land.

Why water alone will not fix it

After a hard run, your stomach is slow. Water sits there. Only a small part gets to your blood right away. An IV skips the stomach. It goes right to work.

When to book, and when not to

Do not get an IV right before the race. A liter of fluid right before a run leaves you full and sloshy. You will need a bathroom at mile two. Here is the rule.

  • Or book after you finish. Same day works.
  • Never book within 2 hours of your start time.
  • Elite or drug tested runners should check their sport’s IV rules first.
  • First time with us? Do the five minute video call the day before, so race day is simple.
