What is mobile IV therapy in Black Hawk?

Casinos opened in 1991, and Black Hawk now has three times as many as Central City next door.

This is a town of casino hotels. A registered nurse comes to your room, asks a few health questions, takes your vitals, and sets up your IV drip. Plan on about 45 to 60 minutes.

Why people in Black Hawk book an IV

Long nights at the tables

Casino weekends run late. Add drinks at about 8,000 feet, and the morning after can be rough. Visit Denver warns that alcohol can make dehydration worse before you adjust to the altitude. The Hangover IV is made for that morning.

Thin, dry mountain air

Black Hawk sits about 2,800 feet higher than Denver. Guests who drive straight up from the city or the airport can feel it, with a headache, fatigue or a bit of nausea. A Hydrate IV in your room puts fluids back.

Spa days at the resorts

Both the Ameristar and the Monarch have spas. Pair a spa morning with a Beauty Glow IV in your room.

  3. Your nurse heads overYou get a text when they leave. They check your vitals when they walk in.
  4. The dripMost drips take 45 to 60 minutes. NAD+ takes 2 to 4 hours.
  5. DoneYour nurse packs up. You get on with your day.
