Rio Rancho Estates is the open country just past Rio Rancho’s city limits, wrapping the city on its west and north sides.
It is in Sandoval County, and its south edge partly follows the Bernalillo County line.
The name goes back to 1961, when AMREP bought the land and started a development called Rio Rancho Estates, laid out in half-acre and one-acre lots. Homes out here are spread far apart.
A registered nurse drives out to you with your IV drip. Give us clear directions and we will find the house.

Dirt roads on this side can get difficult after a storm. Booking a nurse to the house saves you a slow drive out when you feel your worst.
