What is mobile IV therapy in Sundance?

Robert Redford bought it in 1968 and named it for his role in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The Sundance Institute grew out of a filmmakers’ gathering he hosted here in 1979.

Few people live at Sundance all year. Most come to stay, ski, hike or eat at the Tree Room. A registered nurse can come up to your room at the Inn, your cottage or a mountain home. After a short health check, the drip runs about 45 to 60 minutes and you never leave your room.

Why people in Sundance book an IV

Well over a mile up

The base sits at about 6,100 feet, and the top reaches 8,250. Thin mountain air and a full day on the lifts can catch up with you. Some guests book a drip of fluids in their room afterward.

Weddings and retreats

Sundance hosts weddings, corporate retreats and group stays. After a big reception or a long night with the team, a nurse can come to the cottage or mountain home.

Nights at the Owl Bar

The Owl Bar is a 21-and-over mountain bar with live music. If the next day starts slow, you can stay in your room and have the nurse come to you.

Summer on the mountain

Summer brings hiking, mountain biking, horseback rides and the ZipTour. A long day outside in the sun up here takes a lot out of you.

How it works
