What is mobile IV therapy in Hooper?

Hooper, an early Utah delegate to Congress, ran cattle here, and his herdsmen built the first house, a two-story adobe, in 1854. The town later took his name.

Hooper reaches west to the shore of the Great Salt Lake. A registered nurse from The Good Life IV drives out to homes and home offices across the city. The nurse does a short health check first, and the drip runs about 45 to 60 minutes.

Why people in Hooper book an IV

Tomato Days

Tomato Days started in 1925 to celebrate the local tomato harvest. It runs over Labor Day weekend with a parade, a pancake breakfast, a 5K and a rodeo. After a weekend like that, a nurse can come to your house.

Out past Roy

Hooper is a long way from downtown Salt Lake City, about 35 miles by straight line. When you feel sick, the nurse makes the drive. You stay put.

Rodeo weekend

Tomato Days brings a rodeo to the Hooper Rodeo Arena, and the parade has its own line of horses. Long hours in the saddle and the stands wear on you. A drip at home lets you rest up.
