Why Boulder people book an IV

The altitude

Boulder is more than a mile high. Visit Denver tells visitors they need about twice as much water here as at home. Many feel it the first two nights. Headache. Tired. Poor sleep. A dry mouth. An IV helps with the dry, dragging feeling many visitors get.

The dry air and the sun

Denver, just down the road, gets more than 300 days of sun a year. The air is dry, like the desert. At this height you get 25 percent less protection from the sun. A long day outside takes more water than you think.

Sundance comes to Boulder in January 2027

Sundance moves to Boulder in January 2027. Eleven days of screenings, parties, and long nights at altitude. The dates are January 21 to 31, 2027.

This is a big one for the city. Guests will fly in from all over. Many come from sea level. They land at Denver International Airport and drive up. Then they go from film to film on little sleep.

January is cold and dry here. Denver averages a high of 44 and a low of 18 that month. Cold air holds even less water. Add late nights and a drink or two at altitude. That is a hard mix.

Here is what we bring for festival week:

We come to hotels, rentals, and homes all over Boulder. Film teams can book a group. Book early for festival week.

CU game days at Folsom Field

Folsom Field seats 50,183 fans. It sits at 5,360 feet. Visiting fans feel that height fast. Tailgates run long. The next morning can be rough.

The Buffs have five home games left in 2026. Texas Tech on October 3. Utah on October 17 for Family Weekend. Kansas State on October 31. Houston on November 14 for Homecoming. UCF on November 28. Parents and alumni fill the town each time.

Runners, climbers, cyclists, and trail athletes

Boulder moves. People run, climb, ride, and hike all year. Hard work at altitude drains water and minerals fast. The Athletic Performance IV has fluids, electrolytes, aminos, B vitamins, magnesium, vitamin C, and glutathione. Book it the day before a big effort or the day after.

The BOLDERBoulder 10K runs on Memorial Day, May 31, 2027. It ends inside Folsom Field. Boulderthon ran September 27, 2026 with more than 10,000 runners.

The Flatirons hikes

The Flatirons stand right over town. The trails start close to homes. Up there the sun is strong and the air is thin. Come down dry and tired? The Hydrate IV is $150.

Pearl Street nights

Pearl Street Mall is where Boulder goes out. Patios, dinners, and a few rounds. One drink hits harder at this height. The Hangover IV is $295 at your door the next morning.

CU students and staff

CU Boulder has 38,808 students. Long weeks, sick roommates, and exam stress wear people down. A monthly Myers helps many stay on track. The Food Poisoning IV helps when a stomach bug hits.

How it works

How a mobile IV visit works in Boulder

  1. Book online, call, or textPick your drip, your address, and a time. It takes two minutes.
  2. Quick video callBefore your first IV you do a short video call with a nurse practitioner. She takes your history and writes your order. It takes about five minutes and it is good for one year. It is how we do it in every state.
  3. Your nurse drives overSame day or next day. You get a text when they leave.
  4. The dripVitals first. Then 45 to 60 minutes for most drips. NAD+ takes 2 to 4 hours.
  5. Back to your dayThe nurse packs up and goes. You head out to the trail, the game, or the next film.

Groups, visitors, and corporate

Sundance teams in a rental. CU parents on Family Weekend. A run club after the BOLDERBoulder. Teams at offices in town. One nurse can care for up to 4 people at a time. We send more nurses for bigger groups. Groups of 4 or more save 10 to 20 percent. See group IV therapy and corporate wellness.
